BP - Site Engineer
This posting is primarily for the Block 31 Plant, located Northwest of Crane, Texas, which processes 80-90 mmcfd from the surrounding BP-owned and operated Block 31 field. A DGA/TEG/Mole Sieve process removes the H2S, CO2, and water before the propane refrigeration and turbo-expander cryogenic process remove the NGL’s and separate methane from nitrogen. Methane and NGL’s are sold, nitrogen is vented, and acid gas is re-injected for pressure maintenance of the surrounding oilfield. However, there may also be secondary responsibilities associated with the Crane Gas Plant, located east of Crane, along with its Midland Compressor Station and 100+ miles of gathering line. The Crane Plant collects, compresses, and processes 30 mmscfd of natural gas, removing acid gas and water before a cryogenic process extracts the NGL’s. Residual methane is sold. This position provides an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of operational and engineering challenges within an operating asset. It is also an excellent development role for someone who wants to pursue an Operations Engineering Authority position or an Operations Leadership position in the future… [more info at Chemical Jobs]
