Raytheon Acquires Cybersecurity and Software Engineering Firm Henggeler Computer Consultants
Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN – News) has acquired privately held Henggeler Computer Consultants, Inc., further extending Raytheon’s capabilities to serve the cybersecurity, enterprise architecture and systems engineering needs of customers in the intelligence community as well as in the Department of Defense. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction will not materially impact Raytheon’s total company sales or earnings per share for the fourth quarter of 2011 or fiscal year 2012.
NIST announces broad call for research grant proposals
NIST is accepting proposals for funding broad range of potential research projects and related activities that support institute’s measurement science and engineering programs. Potential R/D topics under programs span breadth of NIST’s interests. Nine MSE programs include: Material Measurement Laboratory, Physical Measurement Laboratory, Engineering Laboratory, Fire Research, Information Technology Laboratory, NCNR, CNST, Standards Services Group, and Office of Special Programs.
